Hi all!
4th-Nov-2008 09:33 am
I'm back in town (as of six hours ago, which means I am going to sleep through classes today) and haven't even watched the latest episode yet. I just wanted to remind all the Americans on my list to go vote today.

There has not been this much at stake in an election I can remember, largely because of the state of the Supreme Court. I'm not going to moralize to you, or *really* tell you who to vote for, the way I did all my Facebook friends :P, but I am going to say that everybody needs to vote, even if you cancel my vote out. Apathy in America worries me much more than votes for John McCain (although you might realize that a vote for John McCain is essentially a vote for Sarah Palin, who is pure evil. Just saying.)

SO go vote, dammit. If you're reading this journal, you're supposed to be 18 and up. Even if you think your vote doesn't count, I can promise you it counts more than mine. So go be a good American citizen, dammit.

I couldn't agree more! At least in France you have a somewhat higher voter turnout than in America--I don't understand why people can't take it seriously! It's very important!!!

Our votes count the exact same amount. Don't ask me why I have a McCain icon. Hee hee. But I've totally gotten excited about this election in the past few days. One more day, and I'll be spending Wednesday watching the results roll in. Whoo-hoo!

This is true. You are also from the poduncky South. :P But our votes do at least count statistically speaking, yeah? :D I count as a College Student and Young Voter and Woman Voter. Which is nice, I guess.

And it's so not fair, because it'll be a decent hour for you! Over here I'll be watching results from about 11 at night to 3 in the morning, I imagine. Blech! :P But I'm making omelettes afterwards (either to celebrate or comfort) so hopefully everything will work out.

We're making a spaghetti and meatball dinner around midnight :) And I'll be drinking hot chocolate with Bailey's mixed in to calm my nerves!

:D We're all going to the bar in the village, which will be open all night with election coverage. Then when we stumble in it'll be time for the yummy breakfast foods I've been buying. I broke down and got the chocolate croissants too. WHEEEEEEE!

Yeah, well, I can't really kick you out when you taught me how to write porn. :P So you're the exception to the rule.

<333 Get online so we can talk about the election!!!
